Ingredients:
2 lbs lean ground meat (turkey and chicken is best)
2 tsp sea salt
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp black pepper
2 c sugar-free pizza sauce
3 c semi-hard cheese of choice (mozzarella, cheddar) divided
1 c bell pepper chopped
½ c red onion diced
6 large white mushrooms sliced
1 c black olives sliced
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 220 degrees C or 425 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, add the oregano, meat, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Step 3: On a 12-inch cast-iron skillet, spread the mixture on the bottom and the sides.
Step 4: Place the skillet inside the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes or until done.
Step 5: Remove the meat from the oven.
Step 6: Spread the pizza sauce on top of the cooked meat.
Step 7: Top the sauce with 2 cups of cheese.
Step 8: Spread the toppings on top of the cheese.
Step 9: Lastly, top with another cup of cheese.
Step 10: Put it back inside the oven and bake for another 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the veggies are tender.
Step 11: Remove the pizza from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature for at least 10 minutes.
Step 12: Slice the pizza into even sizes.
Step 13: Serve warm and enjoy!
