These cute little things are so good! I got them as a gift last year and I loved them so much that’s why I asked my friend for the recipe for it. I am so glad that I gave it a try because now, I get to make it all the time! Aside from the amazing taste of these heavenly treats, they are also very budget-friendly! Yes, they are! Ingredients:
2 Egg whites
⅛ Teaspoon salt
⅛ Teaspoon cream of tartar
½ c sugar
2 peppermint candy canes, crushed
Directions:
Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, add in the egg whites and beat until creamy.
Step 2: Sprinkle cream of tartar and salt. Beat more until well mixed.
Step 3: Add in sugar gradually and beat for about 8 minutes or until stiff peaks form.
Step 4: Spoon the mixture and drop them onto a baking sheet lined with aluminium foil.
Step 5: Sprinkle crushed candy on top.
Step 6: Place the baking sheets inside the oven and bake for 90 minutes at 225 degrees F or until done.
Step 7: Turn the oven off and let the cookies sit inside for 1 hour.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool more at room temperature.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
Note:
Place any leftovers in an airtight container.
