Ingredients:
40 saltine crackers (1 sleeve)
1 c salted butter (2 sticks)
1 c light brown sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 (12 ounces) bag of milk chocolate chips
Nuts or sprinkles for topping
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply baking spray or line with aluminium foil on a cookie sheet.
Step 3: Arrange one layer or the saltine crackers covering the prepared cookie sheet.
Step 4: Place a medium saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 5: Add in the butter and allow it to melt.
Step 6: Add in the brown sugar and bring it to a quick boil or bubbly while stirring for 2 minutes.
Step 7: Remove the saucepan from the heat and add in 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. Stir until well blended.
Step 8: Spread the toffee mixture over the crackers.
Step 9: Place the cookie sheet inside the preheated oven and bake for about 6 minutes.
Step 10: Remove from the oven and milk chocolate chips over the crackers.
Step 11: Let the chocolate chips sit for 1 to 2 minutes on top, then spread it evenly.
Step 12: Sprinkle chopped nuts or sprinkles on top.
Step 13: Break into small pieces when cooled completely.
Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
