Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef
2 tbsp butter
1 small yellow onion diced
1 small green bell pepper diced
8 oz brown mushrooms minced
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ kosher salt
½ tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 c beef broth
8 oz Provolone Cheese Slices chopped (use 6 ounces if you don’t want it very cheesy)
6 brioche hamburger buns
Directions:
Step 1: Place a large cast-iron on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 2: Add in the ground beef and cook until crumbly and brown.
Step 3: Remove the ground beef from the skillet.
Step 4: Add butter into the cast iron and allow it to melt.
Step 5: Add in the onions, mushrooms, and bell pepper. Saute for about 2 minutes or until translucent and brown.
Step 6: Put the ground beef back and stir until well combined.
Step 7: Combine cornstarch and beef broth in a small cup, and then pour it into the cast iron.
Step 8: Add in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Step 9: Cook the mixture for about 3 to 5 minutes or until done.
Step 10: Remove from the heat and add in the provolone cheese. Stir until well combined.
Step 11: Serve with toasted brioche buns. Enjoy!
