These luscious Cherries will surely make your day extra special! I found this recipe on the internet and I am so glad that I decided to give it a try because I never would have tasted perfection! Oh, man, these adorable treats are always the centre of attraction whenever my friends and family come over. They just can’t get enough of how sweet and fresh these bad boys are! Ingredients:
3 cup powdered sugar
¼ cup margarine or butter
¼ cup condensed sweetened milk (not evaporated)
4 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
1 package high-end chocolate chips (milk, semi-sweet, or dark)
1 jar(s) maraschino cherries, drained and dried, reserve the juice.
Directions:
Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, add in the sugar, butter, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until well combined to make the fondant.
Step 2: Place the fondant inside the fridge to chill for at least 1 hour.
Step 3: Line with wax paper a baking sheet.
Step 4: Arrange the cherries onto the lined baking sheet.
Step 5: Place the cherries inside the freezer for 1 hour.
Step 6: Remove the cherries and fondant from the fridge.
Step 7: Wrap with 1 to 2 teaspoons of fondant for each cherry. Use your hands to form them into tight balls.
Step 8: Place the cherries onto the tray and freeze it again for another 1 hour.
Step 9: Melt the chocolate inside a double-broiler or microwave.
Step 10: Remove the wrapped cherries from the freezer and dip each into the melted chocolate. Make sure to coat each cherry completely.
Step 11: Place the dipped cherries on a wax paper.
Step 12: Place it inside the fridge to chill.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
