Ingredients:
2 lbs sweet potatoes peeled and sliced crosswise into ½-inch rounds
2 tbsp melted butter
salt and pepper to taste
¼ c maple syrup
1 tbsp brown sugar
½ c chopped pecans
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 250 degrees C or 500 degrees F.
Step 2: Line with aluminium foil a rimmed baking sheet.
Step 3: Put the sweet potatoes into the lined baking sheet and season with melted butter, salt, and pepper. Toss until well combined.
Step 4: Spread the mixture evenly on the bottom of the baking sheet.
Step 5: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until done.
Step 6: In a small mixing bowl, add in the maple syrup, chopped pecans, and brown sugar. Stir until well combined.
Step 7: Spread the maple syrup mixture over the sweet potatoes and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes or until bubbly.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
