Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
½ c breadcrumbs
1 Egg
1 pinch salt
1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
½ c onion, minced
3 cloves garlic, minced
¼ c fresh parsley, chopped
Thawed puff pastry, cut into 4-inch squares
2 c shredded mozzarella
1 Egg, beaten
Tomato sauce, for serving
Fresh basil, for garnish
Grated Parmesan, for garnish
Directions:
Step 1: Place the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic cloves, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
Step 2: From 1 ½-inch small balls out of the mixture.
Step 3: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 4: Arrange the meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet.
Step 5: Broil the meatballs for about 7 to 10 minutes or until done. Allow them to cool at room temperature.
Step 6: Prepared the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 7: Sprinkle flour on a flat surface and place the puff squares on it.
Step 8: Add a stockpile tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese in the middle of the squares.
Step 9: Top each cheese with a meatball.
Step 10: Wrap until the meatball is completely covered.
Step 11: Arrange the meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet with seams side down.
Step 12: Brush each meatball with the egg wash.
Step 13: Place them inside the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes or until done.
Step 14: Remove from the oven and garnish with Parmesan cheese and basil.
