Ingredients:
2 ½ c elbow macaroni
1 (8 oz) package processed cheese (such as Velveeta®), cubed
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 (10.75 oz) can condense Cheddar cheese soup (such as Campbell’s®)
1 (8 oz) carton sour cream
½ c grated Parmesan cheese
¼ c chopped onion
¼ c milk
8 slices American cheese (such as Kra®)
1 (8 oz) package buttery round crackers (such as Ritz®), crushed
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in an 11×13-inch baking dish.
Step 3: Place a large pot on the stove and pour in salted water.
Step 4: Turn the heat to high and allow it to boil.
Step 5: Add in the elbow macaroni and cook for 8 minutes or until al dente.
Step 6: Drain and place it in a mixing bowl. Top with cheese cubes and allow the, to partially melt on top of the cooked macaroni.
Step 7: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 8: Add in the ground beef and stir until crumbly.
Step 9: Add in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 10 minutes or until the beef is crumbly and brown.
Step 10: Discard any excess oil.
Step 11: In a mixing bowl, add in the sour cream, Cheddar cheese, onion, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until well mixed.
Step 12: Add in the cooked macaroni, milk, and processed cheese mixture into the skillet, then stir until well combined.
Step 13: Transfer the mixture into the prepared dish and spread it evenly.
Step 14: Top it with slices of American cheese and cracker crumbs.
Step 15: Cover with foil and place it inside the preheated oven. Bake for 20 minutes.
Step 16: Remove the cover and bake for another 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 17: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
Step 18: Serve and enjoy!
