I always love asparagus. I used to just boil them or enjoy them pan-fried with bacon wrap. A year ago, I stumbled upon this amazing recipe. Cheesy baked asparagus takes a heartbeat to make and needs only a few simple ingredients to prepare. Butter, Parmesan, mozzarella, and house seasoning are all pantry essentials that you can just grab anytime you need them. That is why this recipe is pretty convenient and budget-friendly. Not to mention this comes out great all the time!
I have picky eaters at home and my husband never liked asparagus. But I got them to eat this dish. They love this so much that I have to make this twice in a week! This is perfect alongside anything and tastes even better than my usual asparagus recipes.
Ingredients:
1 bunch asparagus, woody ends trimmed
3 tablespoon butter, melted
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon house seasoning (equal parts garlic powder, onion powder and pepper…combine and store in an airtight container)
Directions:
Step 1: Line with tinfoil a baking sheet.
Step 2: Arrange the asparagus into the prepared baking sheet.
Step 3: Drizzle melted butter over the asparagus.
Step 4: Season with house seasoning and Parmesan cheese to taste.
Step 5: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes at 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F until done.
Step 6: Remove from the oven and sprinkle a generous amount of Mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning on top.
Step 7: Put it back inside the oven and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes or until the cheese is melted completely.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool for at least 5 minutes.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
