This drink has always been my comfort after a long stressful day. It calms my heart and soul! Yes, I’m not exaggerating things! Give this one a try and I know it will have the same impact on you! These five basic ingredients make the perfect drink. Feel free to add more ingredients to it though if you feel like it. You can also add your preferred brand of wine. For me, I use shiraz or merlot for this recipe. May you all have an awesome day and I hope that this drink somehow gives you peace of mind. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 pinch salt
2 cups reduced-fat milk, divided
½ cup fruity, dry red wine, such as merlot or shiraz
Directions:
Step 1: Add the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt in a small saucepan. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 2: Pour in ¼ cup of milk and whisk until well blended.
Step 3: Add the rest of the 1 ¾ cups of milk and whisk until smooth.
Step 4: Place the saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 5: Whisk for 3 minutes or until hot. Make sure not to simmer.
Step 6: Remove from the heat and pour in the wine. Stir until well mixed.
Step 7: Serve and enjoy!
