Christmas is almost here and I am very excited to prepare and serve this incredible Pudding on that special day! You will love this for sure! I have listed all the ingredients and easy steps so all you need to do is to follow them and you are good to go. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
¼ cup butter, melted
2 cups half-and-half
2 cups of milk
1 (1 pound) loaf soft French bread, torn into small pieces
3 eggs, lightly beaten
3 cups white sugar
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ cup raisins, or more to taste
½ pound unsalted butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup chopped toasted pecans
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 165 degrees C or 325 degrees F.
Step 2: Brush with melted butter in a 13×9-inch baking dish.
Step 3: In a large mixing bowl, add the milk and half-and-half. Allow it to soak for 10 minutes.
Step 4: Add the eggs and stir until well mixed.
Step 5: Add cinnamon, raisins, vanilla extract, and sugar. Stir until well mixed.
Step 6: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Step 7: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes or until firm.
Step 8: Place a heavy saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 9: Add ½ pound of unsalted butter, brown sugar, and heavy cream. Allow the mixture to boil.
Step 10: Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes or until the sauce becomes thick.
Step 11: Pour the mixture over the pudding.
Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
