This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. I remember my grandma used to cook this 5-minute Easy Egg-Fried Rice all the time! I remember waking up to the luscious smell of this breakfast dish. Thank you, grandma! I am so grateful to her for giving me this very simple recipe because now, I get to share it with you as well which is very awesome! Anyway, I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you need to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! As perfect as this dish already is, feel free to add more ingredients to it. Well, you can always add bacon or sausage to make it even better! Have a great one, friends. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
4 Eggs, beaten with a pinch of salt
3 tablespoons cooking oil
4 c cold jasmine rice
2 tablespoons soy sauce
4 green onions, sliced
A pinch of salt
Directions:
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to high.
Add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the beaten eggs, then scramble until almost cooked.
Add the rest of the cooking oil and cold rice. Use a wooden spatula to gently break up the rice. Stir until well combined with the scrambled eggs.
Add the soy sauce and stir until the rice and eggs are well coated.
Turn the heat down to low, then sprinkle salt and stir until well combined.
Remove from the heat and transfer the egg-fried rice onto a clean serving plate.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and more of your preferred garnishes.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to add more soy sauce if you wish. Make sure to taste first because the dish might get very salty.
