Ingredients:
1-pound brown sugar
¾ cup evaporated milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
Step 1: Brush butter in an 8 or 9-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Place a large heavy saucepan on the stove and add the evaporated milk and brown sugar.
Step 3: Turn the heat to medium-high and bring the mixture to a boil.
Step 4: Cook the milk mixture until 112 degrees C.
Step 5: Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the walnuts, butter, and vanilla. Stir until well combined.
Step 6: Use a sturdy spoon to beat the mixture until the gloss is gone.
Step 7: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Step 8: Cut into squares using a knife.
Step 9: Place them in a resealable bag and place it inside the fridge to chill.
Step 10: Serve and enjoy!
