INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp sesame oil, divided
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into ½” pieces
¼ c. soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp honey
½ tsp ground ginger
1 tsp sriracha
2 tbsp sesame seeds
White rice, for serving
Scallions, chopped, for serving
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp cornstarch
How to make 20-Minute Honey Sesame Chicken
Step 1: Place the soy sauce, honey, sriracha, ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, and 1 tbsp of sesame oil in a medium bowl. Mix well and set aside.
Step 2: Add the chicken to a large bowl and season with salt and pepper. Then, add the cornstarch and toss to coat the chicken.
Step 3: On high, heat a large skillet for at least 2 minutes. Then, add the oil along with the chicken. Stir fry the chicken for about 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown.
Step 4: To the skillet with the chicken, add the sauce and allow it to simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes or until thickened and sticky.
Step 5: Serve the honey sesame chicken over white rice right away. If desired, sprinkle with scallions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
