This recipe will always have a very special place in my heart. This was my aunt Jenna’s recipe. She taught me this when I was in high school. Now, I get to share it with you as well. A 15-minute dessert that you and your family will surely enjoy! You are more than welcome to add more ingredients if you would like. By the way, always serve this dessert, chilled. Just do it and thank me later! Okay, enough with the long introduction. It is time to go to your kitchen and start making this Strawberry Angel Food Dessert. Ingredients:
1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced
1 (8 ounces) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (10 inches) angel food cake
1 (18 ounces) jar strawberry glaze
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 c white sugar
Directions:
Slice the cake into small cuts.
Put the cake slices into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, add sugar and cream cheese. Beat until well blended.
Add the whipped topping and beat until well mixed.
Use your hands to mash the cake down.
Add the cream cheese on top of the cake and spread it evenly.
Add strawberries and glaze into a mixing bowl. Stir until the strawberries are well coated.
Spread the mixture on top of the cream cheese layer.
Place it inside the fridge to chill.
Serve and enjoy!
