- Preheat oven to 250°F
- Combine cereal and pecans into a large bowl.
- Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in a large saucepan on medium heat. Bring to a boil and stir occasionally. Stir in vanilla and baking soda. Toss the cereal mixture with water and stir.
- Pour cereal mixture into a 9x13-inch pan. Bake for an hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
- Pour onto wax or parchment paper to cool. Break into pieces.
Notes
When making the brown sugar/corn syrup, use a large saucepan. When you add the baking soda, the mixture will bubble up.
