Ingredients:
½ c Parmesan cheese
1 c sharp cheddar cheese the better quality, the better taste
4 tablespoons stick unsalted butter
2-3 whole Vidalia onions or any sweet onion will do
Pepper to taste
Garlic salt to taste
Fresh oregano or other herbs for garnish
1 c Mozzarella Cheese
Directions:
Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Slice to about ½-inch pieces each of the onions, then separate the rings individually.
Add the onion rings into the prepared baking dish and arrange them in a single layer.
Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of garlic salt and ½ teaspoon of salt and pepper on top to season.
Slice the butter into chunks, then distribute them over the onions.
Sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and cheddar cheese over the onions.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes or until the top turns golden brown.
Remove the Tennessee Onions from the oven and allow them to rest at room temperature.
Sprinkle freshly chopped herbs on top to garnish.
Serve hot and enjoy!
