This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. I remember my grandma used to cook this all the time! I am so grateful to her for a lot of things including this recipe! Now, I get to share it with you as well. How awesome is that? This dish is kind of like the Filipino adobo. One of these days, I’ll teach you how to cook adobo. Ingredients:
¼ c brown sugar
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon salt
freshly cracked pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1.5 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs (4-5 pieces)
Directions:
Add cayenne pepper, brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper into a mixing bowl. Stir until well mixed.
Pat dry the chicken thighs with paper towels.
Sprinkle the seasonings over the chicken thighs and rub each until well coated.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the coated chicken and cook each side for 5 minutes or more until they turn brown.
Remove from the skillet onto a clean plate.
Serve hot over rice and enjoy!
