Southern Salmon Croquettes

Ingredients:

½ c flour

¼ c yellow cornmeal

15 oz canned salmon

1 red bell pepper, finely chopped

½ c sweet onion, diced

1 large egg, beaten

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

½ tsp seasoned salt

¼ tsp pepper

½ tsp garlic powder

¼ c mayonnaise

¼ c cilantro, chopped

Olive oil for frying

Directions:

Step 1: Add the cornmeal and flour into a large mixing bowl. Whisk until well mixed.

Step 2: Add in the bell peppers, salmon, seasonings, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, egg, sweet onions, and cilantro. Stir until well combined.

Step 3: Make 6 to 8 patties out of the mixture.

Step 4: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Step 5: Add oil and allow it to become hot.

Step 6: Add the patties and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes per side or until golden brown.

Step 7: Transfer the cooked patties onto a clean serving plate.

Step 8: Serve right away. Enjoy!
