In less than an hour, this Chicken Noodle Casserole is ready to be devoured! Enjoy the rich, creamy, and cheesy sauce in each bite!
Ingredients:
2 c sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded
1 c regular cheddar, shredded
1 c French’s crispy fried onions
10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup, (cream of chicken works well too)
2 c broccoli florets
8 ounces sour cream, equal to one c
½ c milk, any kind
¼ tsp Pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
2 ½ c diced chicken, about 2 small chicken breasts
3 c dry Rotini
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
¾ tsp Garlic Salt
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Sprinkle ¼ tsp pepper, 1 tsp Italian seasoning, and ¾ tsp garlic salt over the chicken. Toss until well coated.
Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add 2 tbsp of olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the chicken, then cook for about 3 minutes.
Add the broccoli, then cook for another 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the stove.
Add the milk, cream of mushroom soup, and 2 cups of sharp white cheddar cheese into the chicken mixture, then toss until well mixed.
Refer to the directions provided on the package of the pasta on how to cook it.
Add the cooked pasta into the pan with the chicken mixture, then toss until well combined.
Apply cooking spray to a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
Empty the mixture into the prepared casserole dish and spread it evenly.
Scatter 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top.
Cover the casserole dish, then place it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 25 minutes.
Remove the cover, then scatter the crispy fried onions on top.
Put it back inside the oven and bake for another 8 minutes
Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve warm with garlic-cheese bread. Enjoy!
Notes:
