With this very minimal set of ingredients, you will surely have the best side dish today! Serve this with fried chicken or pork chop, and you have yourself a meal to remember! Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Butter
½ c Shredded Cheddar
½ c Milk
3 14 ounces Frozen Kernel Corn thawed and drained
3 Garlic Cloves Minced or 1 tablespoon garlic powder
8 oz. Cream Cheese cubed
Salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
3 tablespoons Chopped Chives
1 teaspoon Chili Flakes optional
Directions:
Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Add butter and allow it to melt.
Add the corn, salt, pepper, and garlic. Stir and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the milk and cream cheese, then stir until well mixed.
Add the shredded cheese, then stir and allow it to melt completely.
Remove the skillet from the stove, then sprinkle freshly chopped chives and chilli flakes on top.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to use roasted, frozen, or canned corn for this recipe.
Feel free to use your preferred herbs for garnish.
