Nutter Butter Pie

My kids could not get enough of this heavenly treat! What they love the most is the preparation. I let them help with it and it is so much fun! This Nutter Butter Pie is not only a sweet treat, but it is also a very good bonding experience with the kids. Give it a try now and enjoy!

Ingredients:

FOR THE CRUST:

1 16-oz package Nutter Butter bars, crushed and divided

6 tablespoon butter, melted

FOR THE PIE:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter, divided

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 cup frozen whipped cream topping, thawed, or whipped cream (plus extra for topping)

Directions:

Step 1: Place the cookies in a food processor or a blender.

Step 2: Apply cooking spray in a 9-inch pie pan.

Step 3: Pulse until the cookies are crumbly. Take 1/2 cup of the crumbled cookies and set aside.

Step 4: In a medium mixing bowl, add the cookie crumbs and melted butter. Stir until well mixed.

Step 5: Transfer the mixture into the prepared pie pan and press it on the bottom.

Step 6: In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of peanut butter, sugar, and cream cheese. Stir until well mixed using an electric mixer.
Step 7: Add whipped cream or frozen whipped topping.

Step 8: Spread the filling over the crust and place a thin layer of the whipped cream over the filling. Use a spatula to flatten it out.

Step 9: Place the rest of the peanut butter inside the microwave and heat it for about 30 seconds.

Step 10: Drizzle the melted butter on top of the pie.

Step 11: Drop dollops of whipped topping and spread cookie crumbs in the sides of the pie.

Step 12: Place the pie inside the fridge for about 6 hours or until set.

Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
