These Italian Stuffed Shells are so good that you will make them pretty much all the time! A big thanks to my good friend, Andrew, for sharing this recipe with me because now, I get to share it with you as well. How awesome is that? Anyway, feel free to add more ingredients to this if you wish. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
20 large shells
1 Egg
15 ounces can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 pound ground beef
15 ounces can of crushed tomatoes
½ teaspoon salt
15 ounces ricotta cheese
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 c mozzarella cheese
4 ounces shredded Parmesan
1 teaspoon onion powder
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Add the ground beef, then cook until crumbly and brown. Discard accumulated fat.
Add the garlic powder and onion powder. Stir until well blended.
Add the crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce. Stir until well mixed. Simmer for a few minutes.
Refer to the directions provided on the package of the noodles on how to cook them. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Add ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into a large mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
Spread a bit of the meat sauce on the bottom of a large casserole dish.
Fill each cooked noodle with the cheese mixture and spread it evenly.
Repeat the process to the rest of the noodles and cheese mixture.
Arrange the stuffed noodles into the prepared casserole dish.
Add the rest of the meat sauce on top and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of everything.
Place the stuffed shells inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until the cheese is melted completely.
Remove from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve and enjoy!
