I have never been so satisfied in my life until now! This Crying Tiger just made my day very special! This recipe is what I like to call perfection. A Thai dish that is worth all your time and effort! This sauce is salty, spicy, and sour! You are so in for a treat!
Ingredients:
2 pounds of Sirloin Steak seasoned with salt on both sides.
Dipping Sauce:
1 tsp Coconut Sugar or sub brown sugar or regular sugar
2 tbsp Cilantro, Chopped
2 tbsp Thai Fish Sauce
2 tbsp Green Onion, Chopped
1 tbsp Water Taste the sauce first and add water as needed to make it less concentrated
⅓ cup Lime Juice about 2 limes
1 tsp Ground Toasted Rice (If making your own, toast 2 tbsp, Sweet Glutinous Rice with Lime Leaves and grind to a fine powder).
2 tsp Ground Thai Chili Pepper Use more or less depending on the spice level. Can sub red pepper flakes or fresh Thai chilis.
To Serve:
Lettuce leaves, Cabbage leaves, Cucumber Slices, Thai Sticky Rice, or regular rice.
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, add toasted rice powder, fish sauce, lime juice, green onion, cilantro, Thai pepper, water, and coconut sugar. Stir until well blended. Taste and add more seasonings if needed.
Place a cast-iron skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Use paper towels to pat dry the steaks, then season all sides.
Add the steaks into the skillet, then cook each side according to your preference.
Transfer the steaks onto a clean serving plate and allow them to rest for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
Serve with the dipping sauce and with rice, cabbage leaves, etc. Enjoy!
