This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was little. I remember my grandma used to make this Cranberry Salad all the time! I would always go to her house to taste her cooking. This is my favourite among the rest! I am so grateful to her for sharing this recipe with me because now, I get to share it with you as well. How awesome is that? Anyway, I have listed all the ingredients and directions so all you need to do is to follow them step by step and you are good to go! You are more than welcome to add more ingredients to this if you prefer. I am sure that you can do a lot to make this very simple recipe even better! Okay, enough with the long introduction. It is time to go to your kitchen and start prepping! Have a wonderful day, friends. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 package strawberry jello
½ c celery, chopped fine peel from one orange, grated
2 large apples, unpeeled, chopped (I use granny smith)
2 c pecans, chopped
1 package cranberries (found in the produce section)
2 c of sugar
2 large oranges, peeled and cut into chunks
½ c crushed pineapple
Directions:
Wash and drain the cranberries.
Peel the oranges, then slice them into big pieces.
Slice the apples into small pieces, then chop them. Do not peel.
Mince the celery and pecans, then put them into a large bowl.
Add the oranges, apples, sugar, pineapple with juice, and cranberries. Stir until well blended.
In a cup with boiling water, add the Jell-O and stir until dissolved completely.
Add the mixture into the bowl with the fruits. Stir until well combined.
Cover and place it inside the fridge. Allow the mixture to chill for about 2 days.
Serve and enjoy!
