The sauce alone of these chicken wings is more than enough to let you know that you are in for a treat! These Honey Garlic Chicken Wings are ready in just an hour! You have got to give this recipe a try!
Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
30 chicken wings
Rub:
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
Honey Garlic Sauce:
¾ c water
½ c honey
1 tbsp sesame oil
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbsp cornstarch
¼ c soy sauce
2 tbsp Mirin
1 tbsp minced ginger
Garnish:
Sesame seeds
Directions:
For the Wings:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 218 degrees C or 425 degrees F.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Use paper towels to pat dry the chicken wings.
In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the rub and whisk until well incorporated.
Add the chicken wings into the bowl with the rub mixture and toss until completely coated. Drizzle olive oil over each chicken wing.
Arrange the chicken wings onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the chicken wings for about 35 minutes or until done. After 20 minutes, flip the chicken and cook the other sides for the remainder of the cooking time. Remove from the oven.
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
Place a pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Add all the sauce ingredients. Stir and allow the mixture to boil.
Turn the heat down to low, then simmer to thicken the sauce for about 10 minutes.
Toss the chicken wings into the sauce. Put them back in the oven and bake for additional 10 minutes. After 5 minutes, flip them over.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle sesame seeds on top to garnish.
Serve with any dipping sauce. Enjoy!
