Over the years, meatloaf is dressed differently. But that never changes the fact that it’s the most favourite in every household. Firefighter’s meatloaf with Dijon mustard and salsa, a unique way to enjoy meatloaf. Extraordinary, with superb taste, and texture in a mouthful.
Ingredients:
2 slices whole-wheat bread
2 pounds ground beef
1 green onion, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 cup medium salsa
2 tablespoons whole-grain Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons minced garlic
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon barbeque sauce
Directions:
Step 1: Ready the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
Step 2: Pour in warm water in a small bowl.
Step 3: Place the bread in the warm water and allow it to soak.
Step 4: Place the beef in a large mixing bowl.
Step 5: Remove the soaked bread from the war water and place it into the bowl of beef.
Step 6: Add the onion, Dijon mustard, onion salsa, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix using your hands until well combined.
Step 7: Transfer the meatloaf into the prepared loaf pan.
Step 8: Place the meatloaf inside the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour or until done.
Step 9: Remove the meatloaf from the oven and drain excess grease.
Step 10: Pour the Diana barbecue sauce over the meatloaf.
Step 11: Place it back inside the oven and bake for another 15 minutes or until done.
Step 12: Remove from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
